Our Team
A Trusted Neighbour is owned and operated by husband and wife team Dave and Lauren Maharaj. We have lived in the GTA for most of our lives (Lauren grew up in Whitby) and have lived in Oshawa for the past six years. We are both university graduates with many years of management experience in human resources, insurance and customer service/sales. We are responsible and proud home owners (in fact Dave has owned a home since his college years at the University of Toronto). We have a young daughter and many friends and family in Durham Region.
We do not outsource to external ‘house-sitters’ so you can be assured that we are the only people who will enter your home. Your security and peace of mind are of primary concern to us at A Trusted Neighbour and as such we are fully insured and bonded. We are passionate about our small business and fully commited to providing the best possible service to home owners in Whitby, Oshawa and surrounding areas. We look forward to meeting you in person!
Our Commitment to the Community
We believe in participating and giving back to the community in which we live, work and play! That is why we donate 5% of our net profits to our favourite charities. We proudly support the Oshawa Hospital Foundation which raises funds for capital projects, the acquisition of equipment, and the enhancement of patient care at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre.
