Services & Rates

Basic Visit: starting at $20 (Zone 1) or $25 (Zone 2)*

Our Basic Visit includes the following services:

  • Visual inspection of interior and exterior of home for vandalism and forced entry
  • Check all doors and windows to ensure they are secure
  • Check for broken water pipes or flooding from hot water heater
  • Check for presence of insects or rodents
  • Check smoke detectors
  • Check for obvious roof leaks
  • Clear out unwanted flyers and newspapers, bring in mail
  • Water plants and flower gardens
  • Reset timers and appliances if the power has been out
  • If requested, adjust curtains and light timers and move vehicle to create appearance that someone has been home
  • Turn on lights and heat (or A/C) prior to customer’s arrival home for added comfort

 

Add-on Services:

  • Grass Cutting - $35**
  • Snow Removal - $40**
  • Light Grocery Shop (for your arrival home) - $30 plus the cost of groceries
  • Light Housekeeping (vacuum and dust) - $40
  • Delivery acceptance or Service person supervision - $40 per hour

 

Monthly Package: starting at $400 (Zone 1) or $460 (Zone 2)*

Our most popular package for longer-term absences includes the following:

  • Visit to customer’s home three times per week
  • Lawn cutting once per week** and snow removal as required* *(weather dependent)
  • All services as listed in the Basic Visit (above)
  • Once per week, flush all toilets and run all faucets to eliminate stagnant water from lines.
  • Once per week, run dishwasher and washing machine through a cycle to prevent seals drying out

* Please see our FAQ page for updated information on our Zone 1 and Zone 2 map.  These Zones help define our rates based on where you live.   If your property is located beyond Zone 2, we will provide individual pricing based on distance.  We will discuss this right up front with you so that there are no hidden costs.

 

** Grass cutting and snow removal are based on standard sized lots.  Larger yards and/or driveways are subject to additional costs.  Additionally, these services may be contracted out to lawn care/snow removal professionals as arranged by A Trusted Neighbour.  These contractors will NOT have access to the interior of your home.
